  Installing Platinum 9.0 and Vegas Pro 10 concurrently

  I am currently running Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 on Win XP/SP3 and also have a copy of Sony Vegas Pro 10 which I wanted to install since it has I believe more functionality and is also of course newer.
  Is it possible to leave Platinum 9.0 on there and additionally install Vegas Pro 10 so I have the option of running both programs?
  Or will leaving Platinum 9.0 on there cause problems and mess up the install?
  Thanks in advance for any info.

  Yes, absolutely – this works fine. At one stage on my previous machine I had VMS 9, VMS10 and Vegas pro 10 all installed at the same time. it was not uncommon for me to have VMS9 or 10 open at the same time as Pro and be copy/pasting between the apps….

  Would prefer to keep the old version on initially, since it’s worked so well so far!

  Actually it is highly recommended that you keep older versions installed until newer versions stabilize. I always have several versions install at the same time including Vegas Pro and Movie Studio without any problems.
