    Hi,
I’m trying to convert some HDV Interlaced Clips to progressive. I thought this was easy; just “Render As” to a progressive format. However looking at the output, it still has the interlaced artefacts (comb on movement). Vegas thinks it is progressive, I’m sure it is. However it (Mainconcept) seems not to have done a very good job at it.
Are there better settings or codecs?
    thanks in advance.

What are your project properties set to? Particularly, what Deinterlace Method did you choose?

    John,

thanks for that – it was none.

I should have spotted that, I’m trying the options now.

Yup… You told it not to deinterlace and it didn’t! 😉

Glad to hear that. Always remember; if you have interlaced footage anywhere in your project you MUST set the deinterlaced method so something other than “none” or else you will have problems.
