    Of course its possible, and quite ok!
    Without getting into a long list of technical
    discussion and recommendation, i’ll just say:
    Any decent 64bit laptop nowadays, can handle Vegas quite easily.

    I have a new HP Elitebook that I love and got a very good deal on.
    Only problem is the screen is smaller then my last one.
    Vegas runs well, but I almost always use an external monitor.
    You can do it, but on a screen that small it may not be fun except for the simplest edits.

    Brad is correct, the screen size will get a bit cramped
    if you are working on a large project though.
