How to Set the Time of the Loop?!?!?!??!
I haven’t exactly been having “trouble” with Sony Vegas 12, but I need some help with the Loop feature. I cant seem to figure out how to make the video continue after the loop is set at a point in the video. This is getting really frustrating and I need to know how to do this. Every time I split something and do the loop it just stays stuck on the loop forever, until I hit pause or stop. Please help me with this!

Im trying my best to understand exactly what you mean.
Go to the Preferences, and under the Editing tab, select
Collapse loop region when no time selection is present.

what Im trying to do is make it replay a frame over and over for like 3 seconds then continue on with the rest of the video. I did what you said but I don’t think that solved it exactly. I know there is a way to do this I just cant figure it out.

If you press the “Q” key it will toggle looping on and off. Just turn it off when you don’t need it.

The easiest way is to cut out the part you want to loop and paste it onto the timeline 3 times. The hard war is to open the trimmer, select the area that you want to loop and then save it as a subclip. then drop the subclip onto the timeline and drag the right edge out until it loops 3 times.
If you are just trying to get a frame to freeze for a few seconds, you can use the capture tool above the preview windows to capture a still image of the frame and then insert it back into the timeline for however long you want it to last.
