Posted by Gone Fishing on July 3, 2009 at 4:20 pmI tried to make a 3d moving globe with an arrow moving from one city to another. it was difficult for me to make the arrow moves over the moving globe.

July 3, 2009 at 6:07 pmAdd a new layer to the earth map and animate a stroke or shape layer along a path from point to point in 2D.
Then either apply CC Sphere to that layer or combine it in a precomp and add the Sphere effect. I did this in 2 minutes.

But…
You can create another layer in your comp for your arrows, apply CC Sphere to it, and make it slightly larger than the globe. Syncing the two layers can get complicated but that’s why After Effects is not for kids.bogiesan
