  Sony Vegas Pro 12 preview window freeze

  Hi guys! I have sony vegas pro 12, and whenever I play a clip like 30-45 secs into the clip the preview screen will freeze, but the audio is still going.

  My computer is up to snuff, I am sure (gaming rig).

  Help!

  Hello,
  You should update what your running as your editing machine. I have seen what you are describing on machines that cannot deliver the CPU speed needed, or from software that is running on your machine at the same time. However, you haven’t defined what you mean by freezing, a few seconds, minutes, never starts again?

  Try stopping other software that is running and see if that helps. I have a new machine and as I load new software I jump into Vegas Pro 12 and see if there is an impact. So far I discovered that if I run CPU-Z and/or HWMonitor my video image freezes (stops and goes), but the actual timeline continues to play and the video image catches up. When I close out of the two monitoring software programs my video plays perfectly again.
