Sony Vegas pro 12 keeps stopping rendering to early
Posted by Scott Hoffman on June 3, 2013 at 3:02 amit gets to a certain frame, and it seems to be the same everytime, the files are all good, none corrupted, the preview window is almost at the end, but the frame it’s on isn’t right, i use internet 720p as a template and i have turned off gpu acceleration and all it does it get me about 1,000 frames more.
any help?

June 3, 2013 at 3:08 pmHave you tried a different encoder? MPEG, QuickTime? If they work and your MP4 doesn’t, then it might be the MP4 encoder. If they all fail, then it is probably something in your .veg.
Try Render a Region using the MP4. If it fails, try again with MPEG or QT. If they all fail, then start muting tracks and/or disabling FX.

June 3, 2013 at 9:26 pmif i cancel the render before it gets to the part where it fails, or if it doesn’t fail, it comes out perfectly. and i ave had problems with rendering with other templates that don’t have anything to do with the problem now.

June 4, 2013 at 8:03 pmI’ve had renders stop before at the same place. It might all run fine when editing but doesn’t render.
You might try removing that certain event from the timeline and render without it. If it renders then you know something is wrong with that event despite the fact it works withing vegas proper.Roger Bansemer – PaintingAndTravel.com

June 4, 2013 at 10:04 pmI misunderstood. Have you removed those events from the timeline and it still hangs up in that same spot?

June 4, 2013 at 11:12 pmit will take some time to get it to the point where it stops rendering again, and frankly if i’m going t have to wait about an hour just to find the frame, delete it and then wait another 2 it’s not a solution that’s worth it anyway

June 5, 2013 at 11:03 pmHi Scott I had just the same sort of problem a few days ago (posted a question on this blog). I narrowed it down to the Sony glow effect I’d added to something. Crashed every time it got to it, even on a small file in a new project. I tried loads of things but the one that worked in the end was in:
Options/preferences/video tab – lower the dynamic RAM preview to about 100Mb and lower the maximum number of rendering threads down to 2 (or even one if it crashes on 2).
So it wasn’t corrupted software as I first thought but a memory issues of some sort.
this might not be the answer but it’s worth a try.Steve
