  • Cookie Cutter? Questions from a video

Posted by Ken Dellosa on May 8, 2013 at 4:33 am

    Hello there,

In the video that I will link below, there is this very neat transition that happened, simple but cool in my opinion, so the screen gets divided in vertical parts in sync with the music.

I came here to ask if this was done with a transition or just some dividing with cookie cutter?

My money is on cookie cutter, if it was created using cookie cutter, I would guess that he (the creator) made individual splits for the clip. I tried it but I have trouble with making it look equal.

I can still be proven wrong with my idea of how it was created so any help or maybe a detailed tutorial if available is much appreciated

    Thanks for your time.

For this outcome, I’d think Cookie Cutter will drive you nutz.

Are you using Vegas Pro? If so, have you come across/used Event Masking?

Yes I am using Vegas Pro and yes I have used masking before. I am having trouble with masking/ splitting the scene equally (when I used cookie cutter and tried using masking)

And here’s another set of TAKES, which only required me to SELECT the alternative TAKES – I have 6 lined up:
