  How do I stop lag in preview?

  When editing HD vids my preview vid lags bad and I’m editing live music so when trying to line up audio (recorded separately with Zoom audio recorder)it is almost impossible. I tried ‘separately prerender video’ and it worked great, but then I notice it is still not exact with audio and move the video a bit to match it up it lags all over again. Does any of this make sense?

  1] Are you previewing in BEST?

  2] Does your Project Settings match your Media?

  3] What is your Audio Device? And settings thereof?

  4] Are you using a Second Monitor to Preview?

  Instead, use the Dynamic Ram Preview to line up
  and sync your edits as you go along.
