Yesterday I rendered a video and Vegas took about 30 minutes.
This morning I rendered the same video with the same settings and it took 1.30 hour.
Right now I rendered it and it took 30 minutes the same as the first time I rendered it.
    WTF?!
Did anybody suffered(is suffering) this same poltergeist prank?

In all renderings only Vegas was running, no other programs and I changed nothing in those 3 renderings.
    What could be causing it?

look for update KB2670838 if you’re in Windows 7, uninstall it as it causes a wide range of issues with DirectDraw / Direct3D, if that’s not your case then I’m puzzled as you, maybe your computer power-saving settings isn’t set to “maximum performace / always on”, mind you that if your PC is set to “balanced” or “power saving” sometimes it doesn’t work properly and throttles the CPU/RAM/PICe/GPU down in order to save power / energy when it’s not necessary.

Power-saving is set to maximum and even if it wasn’t, that never happened before so I GUESS it’s not a computer setting problem.
Where/how should I look that update?

[Joao Souza] “Where/how should I look that update?”

computer -> uninstall or change a program -> see installed updates (left pane) -> windows updates

if you see KB2670838 there uninstall it and set Windows Update to “manual”, check for updates and when it shows again hide it until Microsoft fix it, it’s related to Internet Explorer 10 but messes with current video drivers.

    I read it.
Like I said there were only Vegas running.
Restarting changed nothing, sometimes it takes 30 minutes and sometimes 1.30 hours, very weird.
