You want to make video DVD’s and BluRays? I just purchased Vegas Pro 12 and it came with DVD Architect……seems to have enough options for most uses….was included free with my Vegas, not sure on pricing if purchased alone. Vegas has special rendering templates just for DVD Architect, which streamlines this function if you don’t use it that often.

For years ive hunted for a software that burns DVD’s efficiently,
fast, ease of use, without errors and without hogging resources,
And the winner in my book is finally ConvertxtoDVD.

And for other burning tasks fitting the same requirements i
mention above, it is Ashampoo Burning Studio.

The *best*? Is Sony BluPrint, which will set you back some $5,000. There’s also Scenarist BD Studio at *only* $9,999.00

But I have been quite happy with Sony DVDA which comes with Vegas.

I didn’t know that you could author a DVD on TmpegEnc. I just use the DVDA templates in the Vegas “Render As” to encode my DVDA compatible MPEG file and AC3 file, then I use DVDA to author my menus and burn the DVD.

I am also a big fan of ConvertX2DVD, but it isn’t a magic bullet for every project. The menus are beautiful, but hard to customize.

How do you handle BluRay projects with ConvertX?

My solution is to use ConvertX to produce a 25MB DVD project and then take it to Nero to burn to a BD. However, the BluRay will only play on my PC and not my Sony BluRay set top player.

I wish there was a ConvertX made for BluRay burning.
