    Hi :
Is anyone like me experience this kind of wired After effects 6.5.1 pro unexpected quit problem?

After I install Divx codec or QuickTime 7 player (QT 6.5.2 was no problem), then open AE pro 6.5.1, click import or open project command, and the whole AE 6.5.1 just unexpected quit without any reason. Anyone here can give any suggestion to fix this problem? So far, I un-installed the Divx codec and install back the QT 6.5.2. The AE pro 6.5.1 runs smooth and normal on my workstation. If I install the divx and QT 7 again, AE unexpected quit again.

Not sure this problem relate to Graphic card driver or not!

Please help!! And Thanks your big help and time.

I just had this happen to me on my MAC. I installed FCP5 this weekend which requires QT7. Last night was the first time I had to use my AE and everytime I tried to import video in, AE crashed. Infact I could not see my video in preview in my folders, and if I tried to preview it closed my folder. I could double click and play my file in the QT player though.

Any solutions, ideas would be great

    G5, Panther, QT7, AE 6.5, FCP5.

I had this problem a while ago when I updated my Nvidia GeForce drivers – AE just disappeared with no error message when I tried to import a file.

I reverted to an older version of the GeForce drivers and the problem went away.
