  DVD playback diverting to extra & back?

  I recall seeing same DVD’s a few years back which when playing you would have a popup appear in the corner which suggested that if you wished to see ‘Extra’ of the scene you were viewing the just click. Once you had viewed the ‘Extra scene’ you were then returned back to where you were before.

  How was that achieved? Was it don’t as an angle? Was it done in Vegas or in DVDA? Can the same thing be achieved if you were making a Blu-ray disc?
