    Hello,

I have this .AVI file that won’t open in Vegas 10. It gives me an error of unsupported format.
But if I load the same .AVI in Sound Forge, it opens just fine and I can even watch the movie in the preview window.
I don’t get it, why vegas can’t open a file that sound forge opens?

I need to edit this film for a montage. Can anyone help?

    Kind regards,
    joni

    Odd!
Well, you can render it out from soundforge to another AVI
file with the same specifications, it will then be able
to open and edit in Vegas.

[Joao Carlos Schwalbach] “I don’t get it, why vegas can’t open a file that sound forge opens?”

Well… if you are using Vegas Pro 10 64-bit and Sound Forge which is 32-bit and you only had the 32-bit codec for the video installed, that would explain why the 64-bit Vegas Pro can’t open it but the 32-bit Sound Forge can.
