I am using Vegas ProType Titler and can’t figure out if my workflow can be improved:

    1. I’ve entered some text and turned on animation for @X. I’d like the text to crawl from right to left within the 9 seconds event. So, in the ProTitler, I’ve moved the text to appropriate position at x=0 and then draged the playhead to x=9 and now I need to drag the text from right to left. Question: is there some way to restrict the text from moving up and down (changing Y position) during dragging inside the ProType?

[solved]2. The animation for @X seems to be slower near the start and end and faster in the middle. It is also visible on the screenshot:

Question: Is it possible to make the animation with constant speed, instead of this?

[Edit] I found the answer, right click on the speed line and choose “linear”.

    3. When adjusting e.g. @Y manually, after clicking on it (in the ProType Properties) to enter the number, you can’t because something appears (it looks like a context menu, but context menus normally appear after right clicking and not left clicking). So instead of entering the number, I have to click once again precisely outside the menu but inside the field and then click third time and drag to select the number and then enter new value. Question: is there an option to prevent the menu from appearing after clicking into the Properties text box? Here is an example when I clicked on @Y offset setting:

No, you need to take note of the Y value and after you drag it, type the same Y value back in.

This doesn’t show up for me so it’s something you are doing. The IME in that menu is the Input Method Editor so you have some kind of keyboard assistance or something turned on.

I think I know the reason, at least some. This happens because my mouse is in the left-handed mode (it’s set up in windows Control Panel, the left and right buttons are switched). When I set it back to default, then the menu doesn’t appear. Looks like ProType Titler has problems with this setting. Never had issue with it before.

    Glad you figured it out.
