  How to crop a video and embed in another

  I have two 1080p videos and I am working with v12.

  1. I want to crop a certain portion of clip A, for example 200×100 of the bottom right corner.
  2. I want to take that cropped clip and embed it in clip B at the same location.

  How do I go about doing this? Thanks!

  1. Put clip A in Track 1; Track Motion 1920 x 1080
  2. Put clip B in Track 2; Track Motion 1920 x 1080
  3. Add Pan/Crop to clip A. In P/C dialog, enable Mask. Add a Mask keyframe at time t0. Set the keyframe to be a rectangular 200×100.

  This should put clip A over clip B with only the mask-ed portion of clip A being visible; i.e., clip B should show through from underneath.
