How Can I Improve my Sony Vegas 11 Rendering Speed/Times?
I been using Sony Vegas 11 for a Month, I was wondering if anyone had some tips for improving the rendering times for Sony Vegas 11.
Right now it taking about 2 Hours to Render a 20 Minute Video. I’m not sure if that’s fast or slow according to my render settings/PC setup, but if there is something I can do to speed up the render please let me know. Also the videos I’m rendering are being used to upload to YouTube.
My Computer Specs & Rendering Settings:
HP All-In-One
AMD Athlon(tm)II X2 245e Processpr 2.90
4GB RAM
64-bit Operating System
Windows 7 Home PremiumSony Vegas 11:
6.4 Mbps HD 1080-24p Video -

Only thing you can do to speed up rendering is hardware related:
more Processing power, powerful graphics card, more memory etc…in

An AMD Athlon X2 is pretty old dual core technology. Get yourself a computer with a new Intel Core i7 with maybe 4 or 6 cores and you’ll see a huge performance boost when rendering.

Is there a way for me to install a new processer on my HP All-In-One Computer instead of buying a new computer???

You would need to buy a new computer. Your computer has an AMD motherboard and you would need the proper Intel motherboard but the memory would also need to be changed to match and the motherboard would probably not be compatible with your HP case so at that point, it’s easier to just buy a new computer.

Yes, that’s a good 4 core processor as is the Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz 6 core processor which is what I use. Either way, you’ll need a new computer.

Ok I’m think on selling my computer on craigslist but I have had it for less den a year bout how much would I be able to sell it, it’s still in great condition, also wat would be a great computer for me to get at a good prices??

Brand new, they appear to be going for around $550, so second hand they would be going for significantly less. You might be better off just hanging on to the old machine for general use, surfing the ‘net, checking emails etc. You can keep Vegas installed on both, and use the HP as a backup if something should happen to your main editing system.
I also use multiple machines for burning discs if I need to churn out around 50 copies. Helps the time pass quicker!

Was wonder what you would thing of this computer would it be able to do the job on Sony Vegas Pro 11 and also how fast would it be able to render videos??
And also would this computer also be good for general use, YouTube, surfing web, etc?? Or is there another computer out there with the same or better spec at a better price??

That CyberPower Rattler desktop looks like a great computer. It has integrated graphics which might be OK for what you’re doing. It will also be built from industry standard parts so that you can upgrade it easily later. You can always decide to add an NVIDIA GPU if you need more rendering power. I think that would do a great job for video editing.
