I’ve been out of the loop on editing for a while. What’s the story with Vegas 12? Is its release as buggy as Vegas 11’s?

Its release is no where near what the problematic Vegas 11 was like.
Its a stable and well polished machine now, that i am proud of.
(yeah, a user may find one or two minor issue, as with any software, but that’s it).
However, uninstall Vegas 11 when you decide to go with Vegas 12.

I’m using Vegas Pro 12.0 for all of my projects and it’s very solid; much better than 11.0 was at the beginning.

Vegas 12 is more stable than previous versions in complex projects. I use it a lot.

    I only see 3 problems:

    1. Vegas 12 doesn’t detect my Blackmagic Design Decklink card as the preview device. (I can preview in a TV connected to that card in Vegas 9, 10 and 11 in the same PC).

    2. In previous versions I was able to edit a photoshop file inserted in vegas time line, and I was able to see in Vegas the changes saved in Photoshop without closing Vegas file. In Vegas 12 I can’t do that. Photoshop files inserted in the time line becomes locked until I close Vegas application.

    3. Newblue Titler Pro still doesn’t work. Vegas crashes right after Newblue Titler is dropped into the time line.

Very pleased with V12. But I also had no problems with V6,7,8,9,10 or 11.

Frank, Vegas 12 does detects Blackmagic Design Decklink cards,
    Try reinstalling the drivers.

Steve, you were right again. I updated the drivers and the preview on TV in Vegas 12 works much better than in Vegas 10, 11. Thanks
