Hello everyone! Hope your day is going swell and all.

So basically I ran into a problem with Sony Vegas Pro 12.

It seems to be that everytime I open it up, View Transform always opens to a type called “Aces RRT” no matter what I do, everytime it applies by itself.

This is applied in the Project Video Properties.

Everytime I have to turn it off to make the video normal.

Please help me figure this out as it is VERY annoying fixing it EVERYTIME!

Thank you guys and hope you have a ongoing pleasant day.

Does this happen even with a saved project? I have (and I assume) everyone has the same problem that the default 32 bit transform is always ACES. For me once a project is saved as OFF it remains that way. Also if you are working in 8 bit (and have defaulted that way) there are no separate color space considerations and this will not happen. I always use 32 bit full range so I run in to the ACES default problem and have yet to find a solution… not that it is that big a deal to turn the view transform off at the beginning of a project.

    Matt,

This happens regardless everytime no matter what the project is. I’m also running 64-bit Sony Vegas, not 32-bit. But I’m also using 32-bit full range. Just some info you may need.

Since I am not familiar with the advantages of 32-bit floating point arithmetic and the view transform options, would you kindly explain the preferred usage and advantages/disadvantages of 32-bit vs. 8-bit processing? Also, when would one use view transform, and which option should be chosen? Too many options sometimes… Thank you in advance.
