  • How to get Slow Motion (not ctrl and drag)

Posted by Mischa Hardy on October 25, 2012 at 10:52 am

Hello! I have tried hard to figure this out myself by watching tutorials and experimenting but I am at a total loss.

I do not mean the normal slow motion where you press ctrl and then drag it. Or when you press shift b.
It is this other type of slow motion where there almost seems to be two of the same tracks and one is following the other….like uhh it leaves sort of a trail. Gosh that makes no sense.

I pulled some totally random videos with examples in it.

    1.44 to 1.50 mins.

    0.04 – 0.015

Does anyone see what I mean….? I think you see it better in that xmen video.

Well I don’t know if anyone will be bothered with this post. But thanks anyway. I’ve tried for like a year to do it. lol.

That process is similar to what you would call ghosting or ghost trails its not directly available in Vegas, but a plugin
called Pixelan CreativEase has many of this effect, that could
help you, by applying it after you slow down the footage.
