upres from SD to HD
Posted by Karl Dixon on October 22, 2012 at 8:48 pmI’m producing an HD short for broadcast and must mix-in some SD footage with some 1920*1080 footage, does anybody have an idea what to use in order to upres SD to HD ?
I work on Vegas.

October 22, 2012 at 9:03 pmI just did this with at least 30 SD clips this past weekend.
Drop them on your 1920*1080 timeline, open up Pan/Crop and do a Match Output Aspect and resize/crop if necessary, and render.
I rendered everything to 1920*1080 60i MXF format because that’s what my final delivery format will be.
The SD footage was soft in comparison to the HD material but it was better than I had expected. -
