selecting an event AND giving it focus WITHOUT having to mouse click
Something has been irritating me for a while now and it is getting in the way of my productivity.
Often a take the time to accurately locate the cursor to where I want to split the event (or trim it). Then I realise that event is not currently selected, so I can’t simply invoke the split or trim command (‘S’ or Alt-[, Alt-] ).
It seems the only way I can get the job done is to reach for the mouse and click on the clip. In addition to that being annoying, it MOVES MY CURSOR and I have to go through the process of relocating it again, or I have to waste time fixing up any inaccuracies.
I went through the keyboard shortcuts looking for a way to alleviate the problem, but nothing jumps out as being helpful.
Any ideas?
