  • Tips about transitions to interview

    Hi,

I am editing/cutting a interview. Most of time just the interviewee voice is being used.

It is my first time editing/cutting interview and I am not confident about what are the best transitions to be used in two different situations:

    a) Interviewee talking about same subject. I am using fast “flash” transitions, tint white, around 0.05 seconds. It works in some cases, but as the interview length is around 1 hour, the use of just “flash” transitions are getting annoying.

    b) Changing the subject. The new subject is introduced through a “lower third”. In this case I am using transitions around 1 second, either flash (tint black) or simple fade. The “lower third” appears few seconds after the transitions.

Any tip about mastering transitions in both situations?

    Thanks in advance,
    Cadu
