  • Will smart rendering avoid a recompression (MPEG2)?

Posted by Fabio Mereghetti on October 10, 2012 at 5:08 pm

I finished the “beta” of a multicam project and rendered it as DVD architect video stream to create a DVD to let other people helping me to find defects, glitches, etc.

I found some little imperfections each of them not more than a second long: too fast camera change, wrong camera, ect.

I would like to correct these little things without having to recompress everything from scratch (it would take tens of hours on my single core PC) so I thought to import the mpeg video stream I rendered before as the top tack into the original project and cut it only where the imperfections are.

When I will render again as video stream, will Vegas pro 9 recompress only the cut parts or will it work again on everything?

    Thanks.

It wont work again on everything, it will only
    recompress the cut (re-edited) parts.
