  Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 Audio not in preview.

  I just got Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 and installed it. I have updated to the latest build and I started to edit a video. I imported the video and dragged the clips I wanted to the timeline. (the video section) only problem is, there is no audio. Yes my volume is on and no the master volume is not all the way down. I recorded with Fraps and the file is .avi format in 1920×1080 resolution. The project is 720p (don’t know the specific resolution for that) and the project is formatted for the internet, as I plan to upload it to YouTube. (I do not think that the format matters too much) There is audio on all of the original clips. Please help, I am a Vegas Noob.

  Ben,

  You might have recorded using the Dolby AC3 encoder for the audio part. If so, re-record using PCM, MP3, or some compatible with editing. Double check the audio codec.

  As Jeff said, its a possibility the audio is Dolby AC3 and
  Vegas doesnt recognize that audio format.
