Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Sony vegas destroys video quality on import

    What quality is your preview window set at. Vegas is a non-destructive editor. It does not change the source material at all.

    I see that the video file is using the PICVideo M-JPEG codec. Perhaps there is a setting on the codec that you can make. Vegas has it’s own M-JPEG decoder so one option is to disable the PICVideo codec and see if it helps.

    The video preview is set to Best.

    When i render the video from Sony Vegas it is the same ugly quality.

    There are videos on YouTube with people using the same codec i use with Sony Vegas without the quality loss.

    I want to keep using this codec because the quality a pretty good for the file-size.
