Izotope Rx “Denoise” workflow issue
Hi,
I am using Izotope RX “Denoise” to remove background noise from interviewees speech. The interviews happened in offices and common background comes from air conditioner and lights that emit continuous sounds, plus the “electronic hiss” from the lav mic + recorder.
My “Denoise” workflow:
Preset: “highest quality, slow”
Algorithm: “A (real time)”
I select a section that contains only noise and “train/learn”.
I don’t change any parameter because of my lack of knowledge about audio (I am trusting on the preset).
Then, I just “process” the file.
The output is reasonable, but some noise remains.
Then I repeat same process (selection, train/learn, process). After double processing the noise is better removed, but some times the interviewee speech is affected badly. So, this double process not always work. Actually, I am not sure I should execute double processing. My workflow is quite naive! I would appreciate any tip about what should be an appropriate workflow through Izotope RX “Denoise” with most automation as possible. About the algorithm, what should be the best to remove the kink of noise I mentioned?
Thanks in advance,
Cadu
