  Sony Vegas Vector Import

  Hey all,

  I was just doing some video proposal for a signage which turned outstanding using Sony Vegas 11, I was just wondering what it everyones approach to vector graphics import,
  I hade very little time to experiment so what I did from corel draw converted all my logos and objects I wante to flow in vegas into PNG format with transparent background…
  I was working in 1920 x 1080 res when I imported the PNG files
  there worked a charm however when in panning mode I wanted to resize them to very small and I came across a limit there was not enough of working are in pan mode to make the logos appear really small…
  what is the solution to this, anyone ?,
  another example was making a small logo to appear on the bottom right corner I could not make it small enough to my satisfaction
  so the watermark logo appeared a bit big in the final render….
  Can someone elaborate on the above issues.
  any help will be greatly appreciated.

  Pan/Crop has a resize limit of 12.5% (8x smaller). You need to use “Track Motion” if you want to decrease the size of large graphics more than that.

  Put your logo or other image on a new track and use Track Motion to shrink it down as much as you need, and also position it wherever you want on the video.

  Andrew,

  If they are vector graphics, you should be able to resize them without loss of quality right in Corel Draw. This may require that you have a “large” and “small” format of your graphic.

  I’m not sure what you mean, “I came across a limit there was not enough of working are[a] in pan mode”. You can resize the pan/crop viewing area by using the slider control on the lower left side of the Pan/Crop window titled Workspace – Zoom %. You can also change the size of the graphic from within the Pan/Zoom window by either dragging the bounding box handles, or changing the Position (Width or Height) value directly.

  Hopefully, this gives you some ideas as to what can be done.

  thank you guys …,

  the solution was track motion resize oppose to pan window resize….,
  my video worked like a charm , the presentation was great and at the end of the video folks started to clap hands lol.
  It was a quite of an experience and the end result was very rewarding.
