  Vegas MS 10 crashes when importing more than one MPG file

  Hi all,

  I need a little bit of help here. A friend has asked me to edit footage of a school play that he filmed. The footage is all in MPG format. There are about 20 different MPG (MPEG-PS) files that makes up the footage that he shot and each file is about 350MB in size (10-15 minutes in length).

  Here’s where I have difficulty. My plan was to just import each segment onto the one timeline and edit away. However, I can import the first MPG file into my Sony Vegas Movie Studio 10 but when I try to import another file into the same project, Vegas crashes striaght away.

  I’m beginning to think that Vegas can’t handle more than one of these files maybe because of the size of them or else my computer just doesn’t have the specs to carry out the task, but I have imported larger files of a higher quality in the past so I’m kinda at a loss. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

  (My computer is a Dell Inspiron 530s with a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 3MB of RAM)
