You ought to be using one of the DVD Architect templates under the Main concept mpeg-2 codec for video and the Dobly-AC3 codec for audio.

If your files are too big search for VBR in this forum and adjust your bitrates to make the best possible file for DVD Architect.

also, if you use the dvd architect video export, sony advise you to export the audio as a separate file with the same name. dvd architect will automatically match up the files on it’s timeline if the names match. p.s. i have had a lot of trouble with the vegas audio export for dvd, because of the ac3 encoder. the default setting is useless for me (too low, too compressed). i gave up on it after trying all sorts of settings. i just export as a wav file and dvd architect recompresses and it sounds a lot better. i mainly do music so maybe i get more fussy about it… ed
