  vegas pro 11 64 – render as missing sony avcd and sony mx4

  hello:

  I built a new system and installed vegas pro 11 64 bit.

  The render as dialog is missing sony avc and sony mx4.
  in my lap installation they are there.

  any solution?

  Did you install any codec-paks? You should not have. What is different about this new system from your laptop? Try re-installing. They should be there.

  I did not install the codec packs. The sony render dll are in the plug ins folder.

  I did an interesting experiment. I copied the installation folder from my laptop (which is also windows 7 64 bit) to my desk top (laptop_folder). I did not see any obvious differences between the contents of the laptop_folder and the reference installation folder. (ref_folder) The files and file dates are same.

  Now when fire up the pro from laptop_folder it consistently shows the missing plug ins.

  But the pro in my reference installation folder shows an interesting behavior now according to the following sequence

  1. fire up pro from laptop_folder – shows sony video plugins
  2. fire up pro from ref_folder – shows sony plug in
  3. repeat 2 – now the plugins are missing

  This is consistent and reproducible behavior

  Do you have an OLD version of Titler Pro installed? If yes, please update to the CURRENT version.
