I am editing on Sony Vegas Video and the separately recorded audio (on the zoom h1) gives me problems. Especially when I zoom way in, the audio suddenly switches to other audio tracks back and forth, doing all sorts of weird stuff. It gets really loud, then soft too. I re-installed Vegas but that didn’t help any. You can even see the change on the visual waveform when you zoom in, but it looks normal from far back but still keeps glitching.

Weird. I record audio using an H1 and have never had these issues.

Has this ever happened before with other audio, from the H1 or other sources? Are your project properties matching the audio? At any rate, this sounds like a bug which I’d report to Sony, and they’ll get right on it in 6-8 months.
