VEGAS and Blackmagic Design card
Hi gentlemen,
I recently got BMD Intensity pro for my old XP sp3 PC and work fine now.
I mean movie from VEGAS PRO10 show in the external monitor by COMPONENT and HDMI output.
Well,
“BMD Intensity Pro does not do preview acceleration, so the previews through the card are the same frame rate as the preview window in Vegas”
Actually, I expected the above function but if I set VEGAS FULL preview quality it become mess in the monitor.
My big question is,
Is there any card which makes me happy?
Any suggestions for the cheapest card only for good preview.
By the way, my other machine set in EDIUS pro with its “VELXUS card” get fine in HD preview regardless the PC qualities.

No. There is no IO card that works with Vegas Pro that accelerates the preview. If you want to accelerate the preview, you’ll need a good professional graphics card like an NVIDIA Quadro 4000 (that’s what I use). You can try cheaper consumer GeForce cards but people have been getting mixed results with them (even though they are supported). You can also use ATI Graphics cards but again I’d stick with the pro, not the consumer cards for best results.

So what about io from AJA products? The same kinds?
I have another PC that set with Quadro FX580. I will try see the difference.

The AJA cards don’t have acceleration in Vegas either. None of the I/O solutions that work with Avid/FCP/Premiere work with Vegas. It simply doesn’t use external I/O card rendering capability.
