  • Color correction messes up audio sync.

Hi I am running into trouble with sony vegas 10. I am editing a music video and when I apply a color correction filter the audio loses sync with some images. When I remove the color correction the audio syncs perfect. Does anyone have any idea what can be done?

    I would appreciate it.

Either ignore it, or reduce the preview quality. Your system is most likely too slow. Thus the preview video, which now needs more cpu, is lagging the audio, and probably running at a very slow frame rate. Everything will be fine when you perform the render since the render does not need to operate in real time.

Can you put up a dx-diag screencap and try rendering the project and see if the problem persists

I have no clue what that dx screencap is.

I’m running 16 gigs of ram, quad processor, and 10rpm harddrive. The render does not fix it unfortunately. I burned the color corrected version and the untouched raw version to dvd and that includes a render I believe, and the color correction one played out of sync on my tv and the untouched one was synced up.

OK, exactly what filter are you applying? I use the Color Corrector FX all the time, and am working with it right now on a project. It has no effect on audio synchronization in my projects.

I’m applying color corrector and brightness and contrast.
