settings for positive and negative parallax
different sources come up with totally different explanations and values! for the settings for positive and negative parallax. I’ve got a screen of 44.1 inch.
Steve Shaw has an explanation in which the parallax is related to screen size in https://3droundabout.com/tag/the-basics-of-shooting-stereoscopic-3d : parallax for a given screen size:Human interocular (~2.5″) divided by the screen width, with the result multiplied by the number of horizontal pixels.
So, for my screen: (2.5/44.1)x1920 = 109 pixels for maximum positive parallax. Other sources use percentages: maximum 2% for maximum positive parallax; that’s 2% of 1920 = 39 pixels. There’s a lot of difference between the two. Or what am I doing wrong?
