Preview two tracks
Hi everyone.
Now i know I can do multicam edit but what would be handy is if I could preview two tracks at the same time for syncing the footage. I don’t suppose this is possible? I am doing a wedding video that was shot with two cameras and a lot of the shots need to be synchronised.

When you place Vegas into multi-camera mode you see all of the camera tracks at the same time on the preview so it’s easy to sync things up there.

Apart from the Multi-Cam mode, i know of no other way

You can use track motion on each of the two tracks, reducing the size of each track’s image to allow you to see both at the same time. I think you might be asking how you can slip a track by seeing both, so this might help you. Actually, this is basically how Ultimate-S quad-cam does it.

Yes, this is what we do with VASST Ultimate S QuadCam and infinitiCAM so you can definitely use Track Motion to show both tracks at the same time (only smaller).

I have used Ultimate S Quadcam for quite a number of live events, including weddings. Definitely worth the money!
I sync on audio, and have done so for up to 5 cameras. Unless the venue is very large, like 100’s of meters (where there can be a nanosecond delay if you are recording ambient audio from cameras placed in the distance), syncing using audio this way should be okay.
