  • Cloning Effect – Flickering Problem

I am trying to render a project where I use the cloning effect on Sony Vegas Pro 10 on Windows 7 32 bit.

I have followed a tutorial from YouTube and successfully created the effect, however when I see the rendered file, I get a flickering effect on my video. On both sides of the video where my clones are. The clones seem to flicker and flash, the only way I can really describe it is that it looks as if there are a few frames missing or something.

The raw files from my camera are at 1920×1080 at 30fps and I have tried rendering them in different formats and different resolutions, but the flickering still remains.

I can normally render videos perfectly fine if they are normal ones, but as soon as I try rendering videos using the clone effect, they appear to flicker like this.

    What could be the problem?

…are you rendering interlaced files or progressive scan? “Reduce interlace flicker” >>> read up on that in the Vegas Pro Online Help (Help > index search: “flicker, reducing interlace”.
