I really need help on this whenever I try to render something out using Vegas 11, the rendering always crashes at 20-30% and I get this error:

    Problem Description
    Application Name: Vegas Pro
Application Version: Version 11.0 (Build 520)
    Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
    Fault Module: C:\Windows\system32\atioglxx.dll
    Fault Address: 0x112AB154
    Fault Offset: 0x0098B154

    Fault Process Details
    Process Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Vegas Pro 11.0\vegas110.exe
Process Version: Version 11.0 (Build 520)
    Process Description: Vegas Pro

I have looked up the fault module file and it was something for my graphics card so I tried re-installing my graphics card drivers and updating them but it did not work.
I have tried rendering on Vegas 10e and Vegas 11 and I have gotten the same error message every time

    Any solution please?

You would probably have to work with Sony directly on that as only their developers can really debug their stack traces. I would try installing the drivers from the manufacturer that you purchased the card from rather than from ATI as those are the drivers the card was actually tested with.

    Thanks for the quick reply!
I have tried installing many different versions of the drivers for my graphics card but not one of them solved my problem.
I am going to try re-installing my OS and see if that helps.
    Thanks again for your help!

Or in the meantime, disable the GPU support in Vegas
so you can get your renders done.

Byron, you could try rolling back your drivers to the ones Windows shipped with i.e. take it right back. If that works, I would leave it at that.

If it does not, I would stick to WHQL certified drivers obtained from manufacturers web site. I would avoid obtaining them from Bit Torrent sites or similar, and I would avoid beta releases.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6
