  Annoying Problem!

  Hi there is probably a really easy solution to this problem and I’m hoping someone can help because its really annoying me now!

  Recently when moving the timeline marker left and right in after effects I don’t get a realtime preview anymore.

  I think I might have pressed a shortcut accidentally?

  Normally, when I moved the timeline marker left and right I got a realtime preview of the frames. This is really annoying me now because I only get a preview when I let go of the marker and I’m finding it really annoying to animate!

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

  Try the different Fast Previews settings in your comp window. It’s a pulldown menu that looks like a little lightning bolt, near the right side of all the icons. See which one works best for you. I find turning them off actually makes things preview faster on some comps.

  Hey, thanks for you help.

  I actually just stumbled across the problem! I had the “live update button” turned off at the top of the timeline! I knew it was something simple!
