  • Audio Goes Out Of Sync When I Stretch A Clip In Sony Vegas!?

    Hi,

First off I’m new to the whole forum thing.

But I have a problem in Sony Vegas 11 where when I stretch a clip to make it faster or slower, the audio under it changes position completely, it doesn’t slow down or fasten, it just carries on as if I didn’t stretch the video but just extended it. I’d like to know how I could stretch the audio AND the video in sync? It never used to do this in Sony Vegas 9 and only sometimes in Sony Vegas 10.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

What you’re indicating is that the Video and Audio have become separated. Make sure you haven’t inadvertently clicked the Ungroup icon on the Toolbar or selected thus in the drop down or hit Ctrl+U. It’s easily done.

    Grazie

I only wish that was the case, but no, the audio and video are joined together, they ‘look’ to stretch together but when I play it back, the audio is playing from a different point to where it was originally.

In fact, I just imported some audio on it’s own and went to stretch it to see if it sounds slower but instead it didn’t stretch, it just made the clip longer
