  • NewBlue and Vegas 11 crashes – John, Mike or Stephen

    HI again
I was hoping Mr. Rofano, Kujbida or Mann might have a few thoughts on the situation regarding the constant crashes using the NewBlue titler in Vegas 11. I have submitted the question to Sony Creative but have not heard back. I have read many comments on this forum that evryone is staying with Vegas 10 until Sony gets all the bugs out but how long might that be?
Is the problem Vegas or NewBlue?
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I haven’t used the New Blue Titler so I really can’t say. Most of my title work is just white titles with the standard built-in titler (sorry)

I’m still waiting to upgrade my machines (work and home) to Windows 7 so I haven’t even had a chance to play with Pro 11 yet.

Go to New Blue’s customer support and submit a ticket with your problem.I had issues and got them straighenteded out.

[Mike Hinkel] “Go to New Blue’s customer support and submit a ticket with your problem.I had issues and got them straighenteded out.”

This is the best advice. If you don’t create a help ticket at newbluefx, we can’t gather the necessary information to try and determine what is happening in your case.

    Hi
I have submitted a ticket to NewBlueFX and will wait.
I apologize to John, Mike and Stephen for singling them out. I just got used to them always having an answer to all questions and for that am very appreciative. I find the new 3D titler to be everything i’ve always wanted so I am anxious to get it working.
    Thanks for the advice
    Gary

Hey, no need to apologize. You know we’re always here to help out where we can. I just haven’t had much time to spend with the NewBlue Titler and my current projects don’t demand anything too fancy in the way of titles.

Same here – I haven’t needed to use the NB titler in Vegas 11, but it’s worked fine in my short tests.

I’m happy to help where I can, Gary. I always look forward to the advice of John, Steve, and Mike while learning. Not only with my questions, but with all of the issues they answer to. I have learned quite a bit from them. I commend them for their timely advice, patience and willingness to help.

    Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for the responses and common sense advice.
I’m thrilled to report NewBlue responded quickly and solved the problem with software updates. When I used the “check for updates” button in the help menu of NB Titler, it said I had the newest version. It was not. A new Newblue download and a video card driver update totally stopped the crashes.
May I ask if anyone can advise me if I should post a new Subject post to pass on this info, or will everyone see this particular response.
    Thanks again,
    Gary
