  Saving avi files to external hard drive

  Hi – I recently got a new computer (Windows 7, 64-bit), and installed Sony Vegas Platinum 10 on it as usual. Every time I capture video into Vegas, my computer weants to save them to the Documents folder on C drive, instead of my external hard drive (where I want them to be saved). In all the relevant boxes (Options: Preferences, and also the boxes in Project: Preferences that ask you where you want to save recorded files and prerendered files, I’ve ticked my external hard drive. But Vegas is still saving all my imported files to C: Documents. Maybe I’ve set a default to the wrong drive when I initially installed Vegas. If so, is there a way to undo this and make my External drive the default drive for storing/saving all imported/captured video clips?
  At the moment I’m having to import clips into Vegas, then immediately rush to my C drive, and cut and paste all the new video files there and manually move them to my External drive. I’m sure there’s a simple solution here, but I don’t know what it is…

  Try Double click the
  default folder in Disk Management and select your external
  drive.
