  Weird

  It took me 4.30 hours to render a 640/480 (80 minutes) clip but 5 hours to render the same clip but with 640/360.
  Second clip has a smaller resolution but took more time?!
  Weird.
  Does anybody knows how that works?

  What resolution is the original? If it was same as your “render as” encoding then Vegas didn’t have to do as much work. If you are resizing the resolution in the lower-res encode, then Vegas has to do a lot more work.

  Video effects/Filters, especially from third party
  plugins, takes a hit on render times also.

  The original has the same resolution as my project.
  I understood what you’re saying.
  The second clip which has smaller resolution, made vegas works more than the original, right?

  Well, you are basically telling the encoder to remap every pixel in every frame.
