I am having problems rendering with the new vegas movie studio platnum 11.0 build 256, I get an error message saying my memory has anyone else had this problem any ideas on how to fix?

sorry, I get an error message when I try to render a video it says your memory is low try shutting down any open programs and try again. However, I do not have any open programs and I have 8g ram and 750g HD just bought this new lap top as my other computer died. Haven’t got time to rebuild other computer as I am caring for my mother who is terminally ill. Hope someone can help

Are you able to take a snapshot of your task manager “processes” tab? Click on the memory column to sort by memory usage in descending order.
to get to the task manager, right-click on the task bar at the bottom of windows desktop.
You might not think you have other programs open, but Windows may think otherwise. It’ll also show your overall memory usage.
