    Hi everyone!

I was hoping someone would be able to help me with the problem I’ve been having with Vegas. I have been trying to edit some footage in it ever since I installed it on my new computer and for some reason, after a few minutes in of editing, it freezes at random and states that Vegas has stopped working. It has done this since I have been using it which was little more than a couple of weeks ago.

It’s becoming frustrating because I’m not able to do anything without it constantly ruining all the progress I have. Mostly, it happens when I try to see how different types of effects will look and I preview it a few times and then it crashes. Everything also runs quickly and there is no lag whatsoever.

I am using a 64 bit computer with 4 GB DDR3 Memory. If anyone could give me any suggestions on what to do/advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m still using Vegas 10, but you might try updating your video card driver first. I’d then do a RAM check (memtest86 – it’s free) to rule that out.

Since ver.11 is so new, it is very possible it’s a bug.

Could be something too with the video file.

If the above suggestions don’t work, look for some sort of free conversion program and convert it to mp4, wmv, or whatever. Then try using that video in Vegas and see what happens.

    Good luck!
