  mp4 Unexplained volume changes!

  Hello all! Appreciate this forum!

  Background…

  Im editing with Sony Vegas Platinum Studio 10. I have a 5 minute video that Im intending on getting it on DVD and duplicated for DVD sales. I initially rendered the video in .wmv but now rendered as a .mp4 file with default settings! Looks better than .wmv! Almost doubled the size but thats okay! Tryin to get the best quality on the DVD as possible.

  My problem…

  At beginnin of my video, the sound is LOUDER than what I have on timeline. Other parts of the video, the sound volume is LOWER!

  Thoughts or tips anyone?

  Whats settings or file formats should I use to give the DVD duplication company to give best results? Thanks!

  You should first ask the duplication company what are their
  format requirements etc.
  Still, for renders geared towards DVD, It should be
  (MPEG-2,DVD NTSC..along that line), not wmv or mp4.

  Thanks Steve! I believe the company will take it in whatever format and do they’re authoring thing, and put it on DVD.
