  Sony Vegas stops working during audio proxy

  This kind of problem is usually associated with my larger projects, so what happens is that the file does open and on the bottom of the program it says “Building audio proxy example.wmv” then after a while I get this pop up message saying:
  Vegas Pro has stopped working
  Problem Description
  Application Name: Vegas Pro
  Application Version: Version 11.0 (Build 371) 64-bit
  Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
  Fault Module: C:WindowsSYSTEM32ntdll.dll
  Fault Address: 0x000000007728C8F4
  Fault Offset: 0x000000000004C8F4

  I have no idea why this keeps happening, it stops seemingly randomly during audio proxy, if there was a crash at a specific percentage or file I would have noticed but that’s not the case here… anyone have a solution to this?

  Does it crash if you cancel the proxy loading process?

  As of right now, its working however it shows on the audio “Peaks Not Available” but everything plays normally on preview, video, audio and all.

  Where you got those wmv files from?…Thats a codec issue

  They seem to work perfectly, I uploaded the same wmv unaltered on a new project and everything from the video to audio proxy loads up and works great. I don’t see why it crashes when I try loading up the edited wmv project.
