  720×480 in project bin

  my video is 1280×720 and after upload media to vegas changes to 720×480 in project bin. Project window to right indicates 1280×720 as my project properties set to HDV 720-24p (1280×720, 23.976 fps) How can I get my video in project bin to say 1280×720 that will remove the black bars on the sides of my videos. (I think) New user thanks for the help. Under new project I have been selecting Internet Video – Project Internet HD 24p? I am trying to upload videos from HD PVR to youtube and never get 1280×720. I always end up with bars.
