  • “Next” remote button disabled in DVD Architect Pro 5.2

Posted by Griff Hamlin on September 27, 2011 at 11:01 pm

I’ve just created a new project in DVD Architect. On my main menu I have like 8 or 9 titles. For each clip I’ve double checked that all of the Remote Buttons are set to “on”.

Yet, in the preview window, the “next” button doesn’t work (I get the blue circle with a line through it) as if it’s disabled.

I’ve done this before and it’s always worked and I can’t imagine what’s wrong with this one.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Griff

What is the “end action” of each clip set to?

The end action of each clip is set to start the next clip. Which it seems to do.

I’ve discovered that while in preview mode on DVD Architect I get the “illegal” symbol, it works fine on my DVD player. I’m not really sure what to make of that.

But I’m concerned since this is for wide distribution that it may not work on many DVD players.

“But I’m concerned since this is for wide distribution that it may not work on many DVD players.”

All I can suggest is to try it on as many different DVD players as you possibly can to confirm compatibility.

BTW, my preferred method of doing a project like this is to put everything on a single Vegas timeline, place a marker at the start of each segment, render it out making sure the “add makers” option is selected and then deal with the different scenes in DVDA.
To do this, add the entire clip to the main window as many times as needed, rename them, go into each clip, use the in and out buttons to set the beginning and end of each segment and make sure the end actions behave as desired.
