  • Problem importing 1280×720 .mp4 files – only displaying a quarter of the video

Posted by Erica Scrivener on September 22, 2011 at 1:29 am

Everytime I try to import my 1280×720 HD .mp4 files to Sony Vegas Pro 10, the entire video does not show on the screen. only about a quarter does.

The template is set at: – HD 720-60p (1280×720, 59.940 fps)
    Width: 1280
    Hight: 720
    Display mode: 1280×720

I’m not sure which other settings I have to change in order for my entire video to show.

Any help/comments is greatly appreciated! 🙂

Here’s JR’s response from another thread with the same problem.

You have your preview set to Full. Right-click on the preview window and select Scale Video to Fit Preview Window. Alternately set your preview to Auto. Either of these should scale the video down for you.

I am having the exact same issue as above and I have tried both of your suggestions and it doesn’t fix the problem.

Do you have any other ideas?

    Hello Mike,

I’m sorry I only just seen your reply now. Thanks so much for the advice. That wasn’t the solution to my problem, but JR was able to help me out!

    Thanks again,
    erica
